What a title. XP Sorry, couldn't think of anything more... eye-catching!? zzz... Anyway. Went for tuition at Phang lao shi's yesterday. It was great.
I mean, for once, first time ever, I finished like, 6 passages in an hour and a half. Plus 2 of those ci yu xuan ze thingys. I don't even know what they're called. But anyway, was really happy about that, especially because I'm always so tired and worn out (not counting the fact that my Chinese is... lets not go there.) So that was some kinda major accomplishment.. then I went today and did one lesson -_- zzz... Hey, I was exhausted ok? =P -excuses-
But basically, I read something that kinda got me thinking. During chinese tuition. Extracted from a passage in the assessment book. WHOA! Marianne actually reads! Yeah, I do =P
Anyway, lets do away with the crap yeah? It was talking about how birds survived when they swam over the pacific ocean. I think it's the pacific ocean.. yeah. All they needed was just an ordinary twig in their beaks (oh no is that what it's called!?) mouths. Whatever x) but that's all they need. When they're tired they drop the twig in the water and land on a tree. Now, that's something I didn't know.
Then they moved on to how people survived but I can't really remember that part. The twigs thing kinda hit me. Isn't it amazing how something so simple could bring one through; could give one hope to overcome obstacles? Just like love =P -points down- I guess as long as you've got something to hope for, something to fall back on, you'll have the fighting spirit to live on. Maybe that's why people commit suicide, cos they're so into their problems that they forget there are others out there who care for them in subtle ways. Sometimes we just fail to realise that people care, just because they serve in the background. BIG MISTAKE...
Guess there were only 2 of us there at the table.. (teacher totally neglected the rest cos they were pissing her off with their noise) so she paid lots of attention to us. Then the other guy (some P6 kid from Tao Nan - WOO HOO!) sneezed. And he held it in. Like, you know, you sneeze and try to make it 'soundless' or something. Aiya, I know you know. You know I know you know so. yeah. So I tried to scare him with my knowledge of sneezing. That if you held it in it'd cause an inward explosion and if you did it too much or one sneeze was too powerful it could blow all your intestines out and you could die. (Read it in Degrees Of Guilt -wink-) Okay, so the blowing intestines out part is exaggerated. But yeah, was trying to get him worried. And my teacher was agreeing =P and adding on! woo! But really, it could kill. REALLY. So moral of the story?
SNEEZE OUT LOUD.
He did that, and his nose couldn't stop running from then on.
Moral of the story?
Never hold your sneezes in cos AFTER THAT you can't sneeze in peace =P
Whatever, Marianne, you're just great.
