HALIEWWWWWWW! TGIF TGIF TGIF!
Finally, I'm here to blog. After a long hiatus of, a week -_- LOL! Lame. Anyway, I'm just excited to be able to blog, haven't had time la! Tsk tsk. Anyway! CNY was great, I love visiting old relatives/friends, I love the good food, I love the great company, I love the card/mahjong-playing, I love the new clothes, I love Chinese New Year! =D
Yay! So after that it was chionging for Common Tests, sigh. Actually I enjoyed studying la. Just maybe not the part where I slept at 12/1am =( because I, the normal person, love sleep so much more than studying. Ha!
Oh oh, I know what I want to do when I grow up, seriously. I don't want to be a doctor - I don't wanna spend 8 years of my life studying/facing stress. Besides, I won't be able to get married! Haha.
Like I've said before, I want to be a missionary. But I have this very strong feeling for a group of people, and my heart really goes out to them. I want to help them, and I really want to simply be their friend, because no one else will. I want to reach out to the people with AIDS, specifically the children in Africa.
But it doesn't have to start only when I'm 20 something. In fact, slowly but surely, I'm helping them in a tiny way. And I'm truly glad that God has impressed this upon my heart, because I've really been searching for my purpose in life. Reading The Purpose Driven Life has helped too! =)
Really, I don't know what kinda horrible person I'd be if not for God in my life. I'd be swearing, scolding my parents, being rude to teachers, backstabbing, etc. And if not for God, I wouldn't even realise all this is wrong...
KA and I tend to have super lame conversations sometimes.
KA: (super englishy/nonsensy tone) Marianne, you're like a banana, yellow on the outside, white on the inside!
ME: (same tone) Oh really? Well, Khye An, you're like a..... a..... piece of charcoal! Black on the outside...
KA: Black on the inside!
(both of us laugh like siao)
ME: But Khye An, are you not comforted by the fact that one day you will eventually turn white? It is a possibility!
KA: Oh yes! How I await that day with such longing! My yearning heart!
Haha what nonsense. For all ye who know not who KA is, he's indian-chinese, but he looks more indian than chinese. So there =P
