Been slightly more reflective this week, and enjoying my QT slightly more, when I do actually sit down to do it. I've realised that doing it at night, after the day is over, and when the night is calm and quiet, kinda helps. For a while I tried to do it at the start of the day, you know, like beginning the day with God. But it was pretty distracting - wanting to get on to the more "fun" stuff, ironically forgoing what fills me up for the day. Anyway, I think doing QT at night is good, so I shall stay with that for now! Unless I have some long day ahead and I know I won't have time to do QT at night... Or I would have time, just that I'd be half dead.
So let me summarise my week for you, whoever is still reading (I doubt there is anybody reading since I stopped blogging in JC =( )
1. Cooking with Ah Bu Gu on Tuesday!
Ahem, we made original dishes okay? I cooked "heart-shaped pie" while Ah Bu Gu cooked "Pasta Alla Parmesan"! What it was supposed to turn out like was Sherpherd's Pie and Pasta Alla Carbonara LOL. I must admit that the Carbonara was awesome though =x I think I'm gonna try cooking it. Hehehehe. Butter rocks, by the way. Just plain spaghetti with butter smelt soooooooo good! But erm didn't taste good la. Smelt good only. hehe.
Then headed to meet Mum and Dad at Bugis. Bought a good luggage, a winter coat, and 2 lovely scarves! :) Now it's left with the hiking boots (i think that's about it...) Got pretty cranky cos I was so tired, and the aunty kept showing us more and more and more jackets/coats/sweaters/wool stuffies which were so ugly and I wasn't interested but Mum kept following her and I just wanted to go home cos I was so tired. But we stayed out until 9+ so we could pick Justin from NUS =x (Oh I met them at 5 or so) But it was worth it! Justin was having exams so a small sacrifice goes a long way :)
2. Ubi and Tuition
Tentative test date was given to me - 8 May! Pretty soon, pretty scary, but as of today I just got told that it's TOO soon, so I can't take the test on 8 May. Good and bad huh.
It was raining pretty heavily on my way out of CDC, and there was a lady whom I'd noticed standing near the zebra crossing for a while. So I asked if she was going to the bus stop. She was, so I shared my umbrella with her. Which was really nice :) Hehehe. And she really appreciated it too! :)
3. OM & Shutter Island
Went to the OM office today. Intended to wake up by 8.30am to leave the house at 9am and reach the office at 10am. Unfortunately, I ended up snoozing the alarm from 8.15am to 9am, somehow managing to wake up at 9.30am and leaving the house at 10am to reach the office at 11am. Nice.
Went with Dad to check out the Macbook, probably getting a Macbook Pro to bring to Africa and hopefully to Uni as well (unless it gets stolen sianjipua but i definitely hope not and i will protect ittttt). A very generous lady from KPC is sponsoring it :)
Went to Timberland to check out boots but they only had 1 pair which I didn't try on. Should've uh. My lovely cousin also offered to get it for me...
You know, I've had quite a few unexpected offers and I'm really very moved by it. People coming up to offer a very generous amount of money/support so that my trip will go smoothly and so that I'll be able to get what I need. Probably none of them are reading this, but well, I just feel very thankful. :)
Anyway! Watched Shutter Island with Dad, Just, and the best friend! It was really good. :) Go watch it please. Hahaha. Oh and btw, the food court and Somerset@313 ah, don't eat from the Korean stall. I was so shocked to see the lady just take the ramen out of an instant noodles packet and cook it for me! AND. She took about 15 minutes! AND. It cost $4.50 on its own; you have to add $1.50 if you want meat. LIKE WHAT!?!? AND. it wasn't even cooked properly. Epic fail leh. Waste my $$$...
4. PIXAR!
Okay, that's for tomorrow! Going with my best friend to The Science Centre where they have a PIXAR EXHIBITIONNNNNNNNN =D =D =D -excited ttm *cues applause and dance*- Hopefully will be able to get Mummy a present for mother's day, and cor cor a present for his birthday :)
I think they both deserve lovely presents. Maybe I'll make cor cor something. jijjles.
5. Escape!
Going to super boring Escape on Saturday, with super happening people! ;) Hehe. Sian la, they voted Escape over the hapxz Zoo leh! ESCAPE OVER ZOO LEH. WA LAOXZZZZZZZZZ SIANJIPUA!!!!! but it's okay! Cos it's free. And the company is more important ah :) Basically going with FAZALL!!! MUU AND ALVIN! too bad TKC is in army. Hahahaha.
Ok to end off this long post (wow, first time in such a long time hahahaha) I'll tell you that I've been very addicted to this song. Almost Lover by A Fine Frenzy. Go listen it's sooooo nice hehe. Also, Realize by Colbie Caillat is good too! :) Been wanting to tell my sidekick about it but... circumstances prevent it. Too bad.
