R4TW today after a sleepover at Rachelle's with Rachelle (duh), Shermine and Jocelyn :) Pretty nice time making somebody's present (ahem ahem) and playing Monopoly deal (I lost terribly) and Mahjong, and watching Sky of Love (i kinda forgot the name of the show).
Night before was Shrek Forever After in 3D with the kias, which was pretty good. I kinda enjoyed the show - probably the most of all the 4 shows. Might be comparable to the 1st, i don't remember enjoying the 2nd and 3rd shows much. Haha.
Kimmy came over for a sleepover. Spent a good hour taking photos on the Macbook with Justin (i'm starting to get bored of that LOL) then I went to wash up. We attempted to watch Prince Caspian on my laptop since we were in the room where there was aircon. Didn't work. So we searched for movies online. Found Fame and decided to watch it. Buffering took a while so we started talking while the movie buffered. This was about like 1.15am. We ended up talking till 4.30am hahahaha too bad, Fame, you can be watched next time.
Towards the end I was really talking rubbish. The last piece of rubbish I was talking about was Charles Surin! So I was saying what a horrible principal he was etc. And then I said something like "but i'm happy and sad for him. sad cos he like you know lost his job wait his family.... happy cos now hai sing have better principal...." makes sense but i was actually half asleep hahahahahaha.
Ok so it was a good sleepover with Kimmy with some really good conversations and advice given by her :)
Anyway back to R4TW. Sam promised to run with me the 5km, which he did. The goal was not to stop, and I didn't! Pace was pretty fast by my standards (standards which I used for 2.4 sia) hahahaha and I was pretty much enjoying the run for the first 2km or so. I think at about the 4km mark I was dying already lol. Sorry la, the last time I ran was 2.4 last year you know. HAHAHA. And with no sleep the night before also.
So when the going got tough, I just thought about AIDS hope and the kids who run miles and miles to and from school each day. It's a Run 4 The World, afterall.
Post-run reflections: Running is like life! When the run is tiring, exhausting, or even painful, it's important not to give up. Just like running the race - we may face discouragement, weariness, but it's important to continue to hope in the Lord and run the race with perseverance. Having a friend to push me along and encourage me as I ran was key to me fulfilling my goal and do even better than I'd expected. Likewise, in my race as a Christian, I'll need friends and siblings-in-Christ to encourage me and spur me on. Running this race as a team is so much better than running it alone.
Thank God for fellowship. :)

Let's backtrack to... Friday. I seriously have no recollection of what happened... At all. Other than CBSI, and that Josiah was extremely adorable.
Oh, I remember rushing to fei fei for dinner before CBSI... I can't remember where from. Oh my goodness, this is scary.
Okay Saturday morning, had piano lesson. I'm extremely excited about learning the 3 grade 6 pieces! :) Part of the teaching diploma involves research on 3 Grade 6 pieces, as well as playing the pieces. So Ms Chiu let me listen to the songs AND I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAYYYY! I miss playing the piano, learning a nice song and practising it. Ahhhhhh withdrawal symptoms - I can't wait for her to pass me the scoresssss!
Met Nana for high tea (er, at 11.30am) and then we had lunch! (at er, 12.15pm) LOL. She was really sweet and treated me to Vanilla Mocha at Coffee Bean, and then we shared a meatball pizza at Toby's! :) Had a lovely time with her and I really felt like crying when I had to go, cos the next time I'll see her's only when I'm back from Africa, which is in about a year's time :( Found out some very interesting facts from her, and she did from me too. So funny. I love her big time man! :)
Chionged to church and managed to reach right on time! 2pm! But majority of the people only arrived after 2.30pm lousianaaaaa could've spent more time with Nana. But it's okay! Had a lovely time playing with the band and just serving God.
I think right, one form of corporate worship that I enjoy the most, and also when I'm alone, is singing to God while playing the piano. I find myself able to praise Him most freely through music, as compared to through prayer, although prayer is definitely essential.
Okay back to my day. Hahahaha. After that went to Peninsula Plaza to develop the film, bought some stuff for Kat/Wey and met up with them. Stupid Sam made me shut up from City Hall all the way to Bedok -_- HAHAHAHA. Ok la quite funny. Had a lovely dinner with the 3 of them just opposite my tutee's house! Zi char suggested by Wey Zi was actually REALLY GOOD. Took very long but the fish head curry was WINNER. Wa super shiok. Fu Yong egg also. Heh. Wey Zi's migrating so it was a send-off for him, probably a send-off for me too since I'm leaving soon as well.
Today was good, although the band made some major screw-ups, haha. But a few people came up to encourage us and thank us, which I thought was really nice :) YA was quite fun although CG was postponed, so I went to Mama's house to set up my Macbook pro! :) (somehow I'm still so used to saying "Mama's house" even though Mama's home is currently Heaven) Shiokaaaahhh. It's DAMN NICE. Wah. Cannot tahan. Nice until can die. Hahahahaha. I love it. Big time.
Camwhored with Hannah and Nathan, and later Justin too when he came. Very funny, and very fun. Sar Ee just sat there laughing at us the whole time. Hahaha.
Mothers' Day dinner with my mum's side - the Tans, Lims and Huis - was nice. I mean, the food wasn't but the company was. Haha ok la the food was not that bad. Pan Pacific's Global Kitchen. I just didn't like the variety - neither did my cousins. Although there's a lovely dessert section and tea section! They have a whole load of tea leaves for you to choose from, so you can make your own tea! :) Nice. But the food.... zzz. Hahahaha.
Okay! I'm uploading photos to Facebook now, from today's camwhoring. Macbookpro's Safari is soooo much better than my family laptop's Internet Explorer - uploading photos is synonymous with perpetual failure.
Heading to Kapalai Island tomorrow! :) Gonna be out of contact with the rest of the world until Sunday. Looking forward to it - just being by the sea again, chillaxing with no agenda and nothing to do but to enjoy God's creation - nature, and the company of a lovely family. I hope to finish reading a book dad just passed to me too. It's "Long Walk to Freedom" by Nelson Mandela.
Okay so see you when I return! :) Take care!
OH YA. I got accepted into NUS Nursing :) Which I'm pretty happy about. I don't think I made it to Medicine, but it's okay :) I'll continue to pray and seek God's will for my life. I'm sure after I return from Africa, I'll be really sure of what I'm gonna do/wanna do :)

Had a really good chat with my best friend just now.
Like, really good. We were talking about spouses/marriage/why both of us would eventually get married because we're so awesome. Hahahaha. No la, we didn't say so of ourselves, we just encouraged each other!
Common agreement: God is first, and in everything. I said that my spouse should love God more than he loves me, and best friend agreed.
The funny thing is, both of us are slightly afraid that we won't get married. Hahahaha.
I personally don't think I have the gift of celibacy, although if that were God's plan for me - to remain single - then I'd still very much like to trust in Him and allow my life to be used for His glory. Afterall, He is my first love - the only one who has ever died for me. Nobody on earth could ever love me like He does, and whatever I have is His. Including my life.
Thank God for friends.
Don't you think the concept of relationships is just so.... interesting? I just can't fathom it. Relationship. Not BGR, you dodobird. Just relationship in general. It's so amazing, and incomprehensible. I'm still in awe at the idea of relationships. Hahaha.
OKAY. It's 2.24am. Die. Good night.

EXACTLY 1 MONTH TO AFRICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA =D =D
AND! MY DAD'S LONG-LOST BROTHER, STEVEN, JUST CALLEDDDDDDDDD!
Had a pretty bad first half of the day, don't know why I was so moody and all. But I think, with the long-lost brother thingy, I'm much happier!
I'm so happy for daddy! :) Apparently he came to our house this morning, but my dad thought he was some salesperson so didn't bother to open. HAHAHA. AHHHHHHHHH happy happy happy IP Man 2 soon!
Working on my piano essay, I think it's going well :) And blasting music on the laptop isn't a bad idea tooo yay.
Oh, I was listening to the old S.H.E album, the superstar one, this morning. It sucks. HAHAHAHAHA.

A series of comics just for you! So funny I've been reading for like an hour. Hahahaha.
Atheists must believe that "ghosts", angels, demons, and any other spiritual forces do not exist, since they do not believe in the existence of God. Because if God, a supernatural being, does not exist, then neither will any other supernatural being exist. In other words, they must have zero fear of the supernatural, which I actually believe is quite unlikely for most who claim to be atheists...
My dad once said, "It takes more faith to believe that there is no God, than to believe that there is." I actually agree with him. Just look at the human body - how it functions, how detailed it is - the hormones we have, neurones, veins, valves, cuticles, hair, everything. Each serves its purpose - a very specific purpose to keep the body alive and functioning. How is it that a "Big bang" could've caused this? A few chemicals reacting (Okay, maybe a lot of chemicals reacting) to form what we call Earth, or any other form of life - animals, plants, humans, etc. It makes no sense to me.
Up till now, no scientist has created anything with life, from something that has no life. Every experiment we do in school or know about, deal with elements that are dead - and react to form something that is also dead.
Spending billions of dollars to PROVE that the Big Bang theory is true is so not worth it. It's just to PROVE the theory you know. When people in Africa are dying without food.
Which reminds me... Yesterday I was about to have lunch with my dad. Saw 2 trays of leftovers in front of us, left behind by the people who'd sat at the table before us. Each of them had left half a bowl of rice behind. It's so sad - especially when there are people starving without even one grain of rice. PAP should cut down the excessive amount of food bought for us greedy Singaporeans and give it to the poor instead.
Anyway, wrt to this post - they're just my opinions and thoughts about the subject. A realisation that I thought would be interesting to share with anyone who actually reads this blog. Haha.
My stand: Only a God of life can breathe life into something that is dead. Literally and metaphorically. And, I don't believe that ghosts exist (ghosts being the souls of the dead that roam the earth for whatever reason) - but I believe that demons do.

The best way to end the day: Is sparring with your awesome brother.
I was about to bathe when Justin came into my room in some Wing Chun pose. Thus began our Wing Chun session - which was so fun. Blocking and all. I didn't dare to use force while attacking in case I accidentally Wing Chuned him out of the 14th storey window. Not nice to dirty the floor downstairs.
We moved to the corridor (of our house, not of the 14th floor lift-landing) to continue sparring, where there'd be more space for him to run away from me. *jijjles* So he taught me how to throw an attacker down. Like you know, the grab-twist-push the wrist at some horrible angle so the attacker has to go down on his knees and beg you for mercy. No la, I would just run away if I got the chance. Which was pretty fun. I got it wrong quite a few times, so he taught me how to. Then we ended off with a final sparring session. Awesome ttm.
New daily workout. We were both sweating and all by the end of it, and for the first time in a long time, I actually felt like exercising! Managed to hold at the half-pullup position for a significant period of time (compared to before, where it was 0.4837 of a second).
Anyway, I had a lovely day today. Went to the PIXAR exhibition with my best friend! (PS: It's really nice to have a best friend, like finally) Spent 3 hours walking around and admiring stuff. $20 well-spent, especially since I LOVE PIXAR. And I really do LOVE PIXAR. Haha.
The best part of the exhibition must've been the ToyStory Zoetrope. I show you!
Watch it if you don't intend to go to the exhibition :) If not, then go there and see it for yourself! Best friend and I admired it for a long time before moving on, and then came back again after we'd seen everything to admire it. Hahahaha freaking awesome. We managed to identify how the little aliens pop out of nowhere/dodge Buzz's bouncing ball/go under Woody's horse HAHAHA. So cute. I love the 3-eyed-aliens.
Oh, did I mention that my best friend also gave me my birthday/christmas present for the next 10 years? To bring to S Africa with me :) So touched I wanted to cry... But I didn't. Hahaha. Ok la, words cannot really express how I feel. Shall just write a card :)
Managed to get Mummy's present for Mother's Day :) I thought Mother's Day was on 1 May until the best friend pointed out that 1 May was Labour Day... Fail. Apparently Mothers' Day is on the 2nd Sunday of May - to all other Dodo birds who don't know when Mothers' Day is. So... gotta chiong to get justin's present tomorrow. Oh actually I'm gonna make something, a popup card, hopefully it turns out nice =x Okay gotta get to work now if I hope to finish it by Sunday.
Good night everyboday :)
